About Us | Delage Wine Importer

Delage Wine Importer was created by Romuald Delage in 2001. Romuald grew up in a small village between Saint Emilion and Bergerac. His passion for wines commenced when he was working as a chef in Bordeaux. Romuald completed further studies as a mature age student in 1995 and completed a two year diploma in viticulture and oenology entailing work in vineyards, from picking grapes to assisting in the vinification. Romuald also completed the DUAD (Diplôme Universitaire d'Aptitude à la Dégustation) in Bordeaux in 1997.

In 2001, Romuald commenced importing a hand full of French wines from in the south west of France. Intrigued by organic and biodynamic wines, he investigated many small producers throughout France and listened to the stories of winemakers converting themselves over and their reasons.
Now the portfolio has over 35 producers ranging from affordable easy to drink wines to premium aged wines.
