Languedoc-Roussillon Languedoc-Roussillon is the biggest wine producing region in the France, covering an area in southern France that stretches across the Mediterranean coast from Nimes and Montpellier in the east, around the Gulf of Lyon to the Spanish border. Varieties grown in the region include Syrah, Grenache, Carignan, Cinsault and Mourvèdre for the reds. For the whites, Grenache blanc, Grenache gris, Picpoul, Viognier and the muscats. There are some outstanding values to be found in wines from this region.
Located at the foot of Pic Saint Loup, a famous mountain which dominates the north of Montpellier, the Vignobles des 3 Châteaux produce a wide range of wines produced mainly by the “Coteaux du Pic” cellar, first producer of the l’Appellation d’Origine Pic Saint Loup. In addition to the elegant Pic Saint Loup appellation cuvées, there are Languedoc AOPs and wines with Protected Geographical Identification (IGP) "Pays d'Oc" and "Saint Guilhem le Désert".
Nicolas and Miren de L’Orgeril are the tenth-generation of a family of wine makers. Their vines are across nine AOC districts (Cabardès, Minervois, Minervois-la-Livinière, Saint-Chinian, Faugères, Côtes du Roussillon, Côtes du Roussillon Villages, Maury, Languedoc), and 300 hectares of vineyards. The Lorgeril Estates follow sustainable agricultural guidelines and are certified HEV – 3rd level.
