Languedoc-Roussillon
Languedoc-Roussillon is the biggest wine producing region in the France, covering an area in southern France that stretches across the Mediterranean coast from Nimes and Montpellier in the east, around the Gulf of Lyon to the Spanish border. Varieties grown in the region include Syrah, Grenache, Carignan, Cinsault and Mourvèdre for the reds. For the whites, Grenache blanc, Grenache gris, Picpoul, Viognier and the muscats. There are some outstanding values to be found in wines from this region.
