Jura
Jura is one of the smallest wine regions in all of France, located in between Burgundy and Switzerland. The majority of the region's vineyards are found at altitudes between 820 and 1,310 ft (250-400 m) between the plains of the Bresse region and the Jura Mountains. For the last 5 million years, glaciers have covered the Jura and eroded the peaks and valleys. Today the region has two major soil types: marl and limestone. The main wines made are dry whites, reds, rosé, sparkling, vin jaune and vin de paille.

Domaine de la Rennardiere - Pupillin

The domaine was established in 1990 and is based in Pupillin village south of Arbois. The 6.8 hectares vineyard is composed of 2.4ha Chardonnay, 1.3ha Savagnin, 1.7ha Ploussard, 0.7ha Trousseau and 0.7ha Pinot Noir. It is owned by Jean Michel Petit, a local from Pupillin , and was certified organic Ecocert in 2012, using as well biodynamic preparations 500 & 501. All styles of whites and reds are matured in wood of varying sizes. The reds are light and easy or complex, and the white can go from sharp to oxidative.

Domaine Marnes Blanches - St Agnes

The estate is situated in the Cotes du Jura, south of Arbois village, past Lons-le–Saunier and you will arrive in Sainte-Agnes village. It is known as the South Revermont area where you‘ll find some other high quality producers such as Jean-Francois Gavenat and Buronfosse.
Geraud and Pauline Fromont, the winemakers, both studied oenology. In 2008 they took over 4 hectares in Cesancey. The soil is composted of white marl which gave the name of the domaine – Marnes Blanches. The domaine has now grown to 11 hectares and all certified organic Ecocert in 2013.
