Chablis
Chablis is a wine region in the northwest corner of Burgundy, situated roughly halfway between the Côte d'Or and Paris. All Chablis is made 100% from the Chardonnay grape.
The Chablis area is an oceanic soils comprising mainly of Kimmeridgian limestone, which contain fossils, oyster shells, and other sea creatures from prehistoric times. This mineral-rich terroir produces chardonnay that often has a chalky and saline quality that makes it a wine prefect for seafood.
