Champagne
Champagne, lying to the east of the Paris region, is one of the great historic provinces of France and has been home to winemaking since the fifth century. The territory is famous for its sparkling wines, which took the name from the region. Three major grapes grown in Champagne are Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay.
This three hectare winery is situated in Oger village between Avize and Le-Mesnil-sur-Oger in the Cotes des Blancs. The Vauversin family has been growing grapes since 1640, Laurent became the 4th generation to make champagne in bottles at the family house. The entire production is in Chardonnay Grand Cru level, with a total production of 18000 bottles. The winery is the first to be Certified Organic Ecocert in Oger village from a total of 20 wine growers.
