In 1952 Marcel and Gilberte PAQUETTE, originating from the Jura, settled in Curebéasse. They renovated the entire winery, introducing Rolle, Tibouren and Mourvedre in the blend. Jean and Pascale took over in 1967 : the 27 hectares. They started to bottle the wine at the winery and developed their export market. Now it’s Jerome, the son, who is in charge after completing his winemaking degree at Bordeaux University in 2003.
Curebeasse is located in the heart of the geological area of the Esterel. The soil is composed of volcanic rocks of the permian, rhyolites and dolerites, and their decomposition into sandstone and clay. These poor soils are the source of concentrated wines, strong in personality.

The proximity of the sea, a light Mistral wind, protection from mountains and the forest environment produces a climate without excessive temperatures that is airy and pretty cool, conducive to good development of the vine in the harsh Mediterranean region. These geological and climatic conditions led the winemakers, Jean Paquette, to work with the INAO on the recognition of the specific appellation "Cotes de Provence Frejus. This recognition was granted in 2005.
